Now even Republicans are calling for Trump's Secretary of Defense to resign.

You might remember Pete Hegseth as part of a Signal chat group that accidentally shared top secret war plans with a reporter before the Military had acted on them. The only reason our enemy didn't know our plans was because the reporter was patriotic enough not to put our troops in danger by publishing the plans of the attack and getting a massive scoop on everyone.

Now it's been discovered he also created a second signal chat using his personal (unsecured) phone and shared those war plans with donors and his family before the attack happened.

He is a walking security breach and should be removed immediately but that would require Trump to admit he personally made a mistake and Trump can never, ever, admit that. His narcissism won't allow it.

If the US Constitution meant diddly-shit, Trump would have already been impeached and removed from office. Nope, the Constitution is completely irrelevant now. A worthless sheet of parchment when no one upholds the rights it guarantees.

Trump's presidency is the ugly reflection of the American people. American exceptionalism is reflected in his narcissism. American anti-intellectualism is reflected in his attacks on free speech, science, and universities. American incompetence and corruption is reflected in his detrimental trade wars, disregard of due process, destruction of regulatory agencies, and exorbitant funding of war crimes. In typical conservative fascism form Trump's press secretary has announced that the people who leaked the fact that top secret information was being exposed to the public are now going to be arrested.

Not being arrested is Pete Hegseth, who was talking about top secret military plans with his family, his lawyer, and his wealthy friends on Signal Chat using his public, unsecured phone. No, it's the people who reported him breaking the law and endangering our troops who are looking at prison time.

There is no more serious crime in modern America than embarrassing Trump by telling the truth.
