Every time I would see this particular drawing, I could not help but be reminded of a very specific episode of the old 1980s animated Punky Brewster cartoon – episode title was "The Shoe Must Go On."

Cherie wants a new pair of dancing shoes for a dancing contest and Glomer uses magic to create a pair that causes her to dance without any effort on her part.
