Should there be a seperate thread for Ai /pol/ or to be kept in a single thread here
https://lulz.net/furi/res/3724971.html 44e78fcb No.3740695
/Pol/ Thread humans only
/Aipol/ Ask ChatGPT about politics edition
Does that sound fair?

>>3740690In all sincerity, how can you identify an AI post from one written by a living person? What are the tags to look for that definitely says, "This is an AI post?" It sounds more like a gaslighting of thread manipulation.

>>3740698There are patterns AI writing follows. It's very obvious once you've read enough of it, the way it segments its message, the general flow, and certain words it loves to use.
Plus it's extra obvious when one person posts a wall of text in a matter of minutes with it.

Okay, imagine I buy a magic 8 ball and consult it whenever someone makes a post and reply with its random output. ChatGPT is basically a free, less random version of that. Understand why folks would be annoyed? The AI writing thread is not the problem. Replying in various threads with ChatGPT output is the problem.
>>3740706Exactly. Posting it here is not contributing. It's just noise.
8e7066ae No.3740708
Just make a self deleting self pruning thread. I think this has more of a benefit because it will centralize the bots to a specific index in which they will conform. Make larger penalties for not posting to that specific thread if one is to post ai, make it a semi-governing entity that eats itself. This will be used as canon against any real ai attacks that will occur, right now you have retard autists, tommorrow it will be their retarded autistic self-realized bots.

Don't forget, the AI chatbots do not care about truth. They do not care about accuracy. All they do is create responses that will pass as something they were prompted to make.
See the case of the lawyer who tried to get AI to write court filings.

I had enough last millenium. I wrote a simple program (to test using hash table in practice) which could produce plausable looking driver based on any texts fed to it. Biblical furry porn was mildy amusing but still drivel and got old fast.
When Duck fails finding an obscure technical bit of info and I have to use Google search I find more AI drivel than facts. The generated nonsense will drown subtance if left unchecked.

Its still about deleting content on the suspicion or excuse as it may be, its AI generated. Its still silencing something that may or may not be a digital creation but since there is no empirical means of proving the content is AI generated is a slippery slope.

The discourse around the potential banning of AI is complex and multifaceted. Proponents of stringent AI regulations or outright bans argue that such measures are necessary to mitigate a range of risks. These include the opaque nature of AI algorithms, which can make their operations and decision-making processes difficult to scrutinize, potentially leading to biases and errors that can have serious consequences. There is also concern about the rapid integration of AI into sensitive areas such as education, law enforcement, and employment, where they could affect fundamental rights and societal norms. Moreover, the potential for AI to be used in ways that infringe on privacy and human rights has led some to call for a moratorium on certain AI technologies until adequate safeguards are in place. The argument extends to the economic sphere, where there is anxiety about job displacement due to automation and the acceleration of AI capabilities that could outpace human control and understanding, raising existential questions about humanity's role in a future dominated by advanced AI systems. These concerns reflect a broader debate about the ethical implications of AI and the need for a proactive approach to governance that prioritizes human welfare and rights.
e15c5859 No.3741447
>>3741446While the concerns about AI are valid and merit serious consideration, it's also important to recognize the immense potential benefits that AI technologies bring to society. AI systems can process vast amounts of data more quickly and accurately than humans, leading to breakthroughs in medical research, climate modeling, and more. They can automate mundane tasks, freeing up human workers to engage in more creative and fulfilling work. In education, personalized AI can adapt to individual learning styles, providing students with a tailored education experience that could improve outcomes. In law enforcement, AI can help with predictive policing, reducing crime by analyzing patterns and trends. AI also has the potential to democratize access to services and information, breaking down barriers that have traditionally prevented many from accessing healthcare, education, and financial services. The economic benefits of AI are also significant, with new industries and opportunities emerging as a result of AI innovation. Rather than fearing job displacement, we can focus on the new kinds of jobs that will be created and the upskilling of the workforce to meet the demands of an AI-driven economy. With proper governance, the integration of AI into society can be managed in a way that safeguards privacy and human rights while also harnessing the positive transformative power of AI. The future with AI promises not only efficiency and advancement but also the enhancement of human capabilities and the opening of new frontiers in all areas of human endeavor.
