>>3730577I think a lot of people confuse aromatic and asexual. Like I want to jerk off and loot at porn just fine, but I don't particularly care about romance, general sexual human interaction (i actually find it pretty disgusting), or any of that other biological nonsense.
Its not like I'm against sharing fetishes and forming a relationship like "boyfriend/girlfriend/wtf the alphabet soup spews-friend" Its just not super important to me, and its more of a general asset balance than a relationship balance for me.
My view of a positive relationship is less based on love of affection, and more like a long term roommate status with certain mutual financial advantages, and the possibility of raising a family, but no guarantee that I we want to share a room with each other. Basically, anti-social dating.
I mean I work from home and I've been alone in a dark room for a decade, I can't handle someone's constant bs 24/7-365. I need recharge time, and I lose interest in like 90% of my development projects within 2 weeks. I don't have the drive or motivation to go full throttle with someone constantly.
Hell even if I had kids, they would be more cool experiments than something I emotionally cared for. Not that I wouldn't emotionally care for them, I'd violate genevaconventions on anyone who hurt my dog, I could only assume I'd do the same for a kid, a dog is just the closest relationship I've ever had. So comparisons.
