I used to believe tolerance was a good thing. That's what I was taught in school. Why wouldn't I believe it. That ideology doesn't survive contact with the real world though. First of all, my statement wasn't actually wrong.

Which part of "love your enemies" is confusing? Jesus doesn't qualify which enemies should be loved, forgiven, or helped. Foreign or domestic, brother or stranger, Christian or nonbeliever, doesn't matter. Resisting sin is emphasized as a personal imperative. We have no control over the actions of others. Jesus said if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it away. He made no mention of lopping off the hands of others.
