They were great when "in home entertainment" was an 8 inch black and white screen, but considering that I can just set my butt down on a nice leather couch and get anything that I want on a 70 inch screen, with arguably decent surround sound at anyone's fingertips, with all the snacks I could want and no one to tell me no… It just doesn't make much sense to go to the theaters.
Hollywood just needs to go direct to streaming.

Everyone is just an audience and the audience doesnt have any right to complain or demand a certain content etc. The exact opposite of a proper business model. Listening to the people also causes movies to become bland and stale. This is the way things have been for as long as movies have been a thing no one who writes screenplays is going to care about your sensibilities etc hence the entitlement to create without stifling from outside sources.

Its below par tech compared to a laptop or a pc. Even tablets have similar issues if you dont use a keyboard which is something I'm looking into buying at a local discount store as made available on certain days for price reasons.
