How could this toon totally bomb with its target audience?

Great character designs, decent animation for its budget. Great premise with nature and science topics that are exciting for the intended tween/preschool audience, aimed at raising interest rather than actual facts. Likable, three-dimensional characters, believable situations for children of that age depicted with warmth and respect. Actual character development in the short span of the series, even some hints of shipping to come and many "adult" references if you know where to look. Good english dub, and every episode actually told a different story with the charactes taking different roles each time, rather than just repeating the same situations.

So what went wrong? Not even cub furries or toon fanatics seem to care for it, and it's not that they never heard of it either, it came out in the age of YouTube and most have seen at least an episode of it for whatever reason. It can't just be that it's a "preschool" show, because furries obsess over stinking CRAP like Dragon Tales for at least some period, just because it had some yiffy character. Maybe that was the problem, that there wasn't enough.

So what do you think? Should we petition to revive this show?

No troll community which would've shove it to peoples' faces pretending there is more to it than infantile plot and than secretly laugh at those who watched it like it was with mlp.

It was probably on a network that doomed it to not be seen by many people to begin with, no in your face word of mouth like that shit pony toon got so no one torrented it, toons like this often have basic & safe plots where episodes can be watched in any order, that don't draw in viewers above child age so no one talked about how interesting it was(not that the pony toon was ever well-written but it has that ADHD quality of random bullshit) and.... I would wager a huge lack of merchandise. Cartoons like this often rely on being toy commercials just to maintain interest. The toys don't sell, no one funds more episodes. The entertainment industry is not nor as ever been built on "enriching the world", it's a money machine, if no money is made on something they don't sink cash into making more of it and few artists will do stuff for free.

Tons of stuff fails nowadays like the Ghostbusters remake, the She-Ra reboot, Star Trek Discovery, Disney Star Wars and so on and yet they keep putting money into it.

It was "Hitler fans" like me who supported franchises like those and made them into the juggernauts they are today. Without the "Hitler fans", they'd be nothing. "Hitler fans" built geek culture.

It failed because it wasn't 'furry' ENOUGH. Because no one on either side is much interested in watching what appears to be just regular kids wearing face paint to try and look like different species. You want to see animated series like this that WERE very successful, check out ones like 'Get-Along Gang', 'Shirt Tales', etc.

Star Trek was liberal progressive from day one, what's your argument?

Star Wars was diverse heroes vs evil white men from day one. Again, your point?

Doctor Who has always promoted liberal ideas and atheism. Your point exactly?

Star Trek was an example of classic liberal progressivism.

Darth Vader was voiced by a black man (There actually was one point when I was a little that I thought Vader was black underneath that helmet.)

I've never really watched Dr. Who but when you have people running a show who won't cast white men simply because of their race and gender, they aren't really promoting truly liberal ideas.

My point here is what is called liberal progressivism today isn't really liberal or progressive.

>>3544093 Yeah... but star trek was atleast tasteful about it...
I mean you have these a diverse crews but the they're not making painfully obvious this is what they're doing. It was subtle and tasteful. You had white male captians, you female captains, black captains... but No one focused on this. Race wasn't an issue.

I liked the diverse crew on star trek. But if they were always talking about how captain cisco "over came systemic racism"

or about how it was a miracle Janeway became captain despite "the oppression of the heteronormative cisgender white male patriarchy" It would not have been so enjoyable.

Starwars yeah but who were the heros? The main characters who weren't alien or robots were also mostly white. And the bad guys? they weren't all white. When the writers make it painfully blatantly obvious that they're not just trying to "diversify things" but are deliberately cucking to the social justice demographic... it significantly subtracts from the story. Then it becomes

Less about making a good movie or show less about telling a good story and more about shoving an agenda down the publics throat. The Social Justice android was the Jar Jar Binks of the solo movie.

Doctor Who? Well ... I don't know enough about the show to form any kind of opinion on it.

Dunno, and it's news to me - I avoided Soylo at all costs. It's honestly quite telling that no one talked about the droid not making it to the end until now.

It's almost as if even people who were happy at its inclusion didn't see the movie. Almost like they're not actually part of the fanbase/ticket sales demographic....

I forgave star wars for the femibot because of HK-47. Even before disney, droids have been programmed for intense hate and general racism.

Doesn't forgive the shitty movie or political timing though.
