Twisty Puzzles thread.

So who here is a fan of Twisty Puzzles? I have basic 3X3 rubiks cube which I can solve the first 2 layers and most of the 3rd but towards the end I tend to need tutorials for that last bit, a 2x2 which I can solve, a silver 3X3 ghost cube, and calvins 3X3x5 cuboid which is a shape shifting beast of a cuboid, and a mini 1X2X3 cubiod that looks a little bit like a foot ball just for novelty and as a fun fidget item. I had a 4X4, but unfortunately, I lost it on an adventure in Phenix city Alabama last year, which I could solve the first 3 layers and most of the 4th but needed a tutorial for the last bit.

So do we have any Twisty Puzzle fans on /furi/?

>>3503606 Yeah I had one of those as a kid. I felt accomplished simply returning it to cube form.

Check out this monstrosity the "Hexaminx". Holy god this thing is a horrendous mess. At least the 3X3X5's and higher cuboids stick to 90 degree angles. At least their semi-manageable. Hell even a square-1 scrambled looks like less of a chaotic jumble of parts than this thing.

It's like rubix cube on meth. Truly a this is a puzzle for professionals only

Not a Twisty puzzle, but a series of chess puzzles to stimulate your logical synapses.

If you want something really brain breaking there's always the 4 dimensional Rubiks cube. Since you can't actually build one in this universe you have to simulate it.

This thing is completely bonkers. It's difficult to even keep track of what's going on. The turns don't even stay on the same axis.

Mathloger explains it's motions pretty well.
It's pretty wild though that the 2X2X2X2 version actually has a 3d counter part.

I feel like the rubix cube is an allegory for my life & the ability to solve them on command would be a symbol of being able to keep my own life in order.
