You need to wear your 3B-glasses for the full experience.

Out of curiosity, has 3B ever posted any original artwork? Like, things he's drawn entirely himself and not based off another's work?

I only ever see him making edits so I'm genuinely curious.

There was this one "painting" he did of Bernie Sanders that I believe was based off of this photo of him. I didn't save it but it came out really mediocre, especially considering he spent weeks or months churning it out.

No, he has never posted anything wholly original. Just edits and shops. This is supposed to be him, with his Amy Winehouse looking girlfriend. Remember kids, 43B gets laid, and has been since parachute pants were in style.

Yeah, that was the source. It didn't take me long, 3 hours I think. I still have the PSD file. I should really work on it some more but who has the time.

That's mostly what I use PS for. I don't do art full time. I keep meaning to invest more effort into it. My formal training was in 3D but I ended up being more a design and research guy. Writing, mechanics, game play, understanding how the player experience the game. Game theory stuff.

I wanted to be a modeler but my talent was in seeing how people think. The thing most people get wrong in game design, what I call the golden rule, is that it doesn't matter what your story is, what the brand is, how good the writing is, or how epic your music is, if your player can't have fun in moment to moment ways then you'll lose them.

Every aspect of your game needs to be engaging from moment to fighting to puzzle solving. Content being "engaging" is a hard thing to nail down so I explain it like a investment-curve. You are asking for an investment from your player, not only in the money they pay for the game but of their time and mental energy to play it. Everything should have a investment-curve. They invest, you reward them.

Take running for example. You want your player's investment to start off low, let them run a few moments without much effort them give them something to do to create an investment spike. Leaping over something, dodging around something, rolling into a ball or doing a cartwheel, just something novel for a second then go back to being boring, low investment.

Investment of focus and effort should result in fun when possible, but it's import important to keep the curves going than to provide fun. You want to give them things to discover, remember, to master.

Something as simple as going from point A to point B can be designed in such a way that it adds a feeling of, if not realism, then grounding to your world.

Look at games like No Man's Sky for what happens when you fail to keep the curves chugging along. It's super boring because it takes too damn long to get anything done. The investment-curves are too flat and what investment you give to it isn't rewarded with fun, discovery, or novelness it's rewarded with a higher resource number in an endless grind.

I kept having good ideas for fixing problems and improving game play, world building and story design things like that. My boss had me doing more and more non-art stuff until one day it was just more practical for me to be on the design team than the art team.

After a few years of that I got tired of the stress and constant grind and took a job as a research analyst. Now I'm doing politics full time.

I pick up my wacom maybe once or twice a week, now. I feel bad for not doing more but who has the time these days?

The context of that painting was a memorial. It's suppose to be sad.

>Reminder that he refuses to shower. That girl must love the smell of a man who never cleans.

That's just something that one of the butt hurt kids on this board started as a rumor. I love taking showers and baths. Especially baths. There is nothing as good as relaxing in a hot bathtub with a good book on your tablet.

>>3473786

>Remember kids, 43B gets laid, and has been since parachute pants were in style.

Pro-tips: If you don't shower, go to the gym, and read you won't get laid. Read non-fiction. Read about real people. Women love it when you know shit about famous people. Also be mechanically educated.

As sexist as the SJW may say it is, being able to do household repairs, change an oil filter, fix a flat tire, recharge Freon in a chicks car and being generally handy is a good way to bump yourself up on her list of men she wants to spread her legs for.

Your ability to play video games doesn't impress anyone. 80% of women are not what you would call "Serious gamers" do something practical with your time that will appeal to the wider pool of pussy.
