Depends on what's used to keep the pages together.
If they're stapled together, just remove the staples and it should be taken apart easily.
If they're glued together, I'd suggest cutting it off with a razor blade or something like that. I can't imagine a yiff porn mag to have that many pages, so a scissors will probably do, too.

53 Name: Sidney Niddleleck : Tue Dec 30 15:53:21 2008 ID:MMEZ0wvW [Del]

According to the Toranoana site, it's 16 pages, B5-sized. And while some people unbind books to scan them, it's certainly not necessary. I've never had to take apart any of the stuff I've scanned; just press them flat against the scanner using some heavy books.

ZorroRe was easily the worst artist in 3. If you like pedo rape that's one thing, but he was definitely not the best artist.

382 Name: System of a fox : Sun Jan 4 17:59:28 2009 ID:lbINamk8 [Del]

>>381

How did you arrive at the conclusion that he could be easily the worst artist in 3? Please explain why.
I'm judging Zorrore exclusively for his drawing skills, nothing else, not it's content or style which is a matter of taste.
IMHO, he's probably more technically skilled than many other artists of Softpaw, because:

He take care to DETAILS!
Character and background respect perspective/proportions rules, detailed colouring, care to details like transparency and reflections, cinematografic views, etc, other artists did the same? No, or at least, not all of them.

Of course some people prefer a more cartoonish style, 2Dmensional backgrounds, no complicated colouring and simple cell shading, it's just a matter of taste, but as a matter of fact, detailed colouring and care to details is more challenging and difficult to achieve, IMHO Zorrore style is probably more difficult to master than many other artists that partecipated in Softpaw Magazine, that's why I wouldn't judge him so easily as "the worst artist", ok? If you don't like him, it would be more correct to say: "I don't like his style or contents", otherwise, EXPLAIN why you consider him that bad, instead of making sentences.

Post too long. Click to view the whole post or the thread page.

383 Name: Lelouch vi Britannia : Sun Jan 4 19:12:48 2009 ID:vUB9Hl8I [Del]

I appreciate Zorro Re's attention to detail, believe me, but while he wasn't "easily the worst artist in Issue 3," his submission was easily the most disturbing. His style combined with the writing was just... ugh.

The general content of Softpaw Magazine isn't exactly wholesome, but his submission sort of crossed the line in regards to what many of the readers were expecting. It was just a little too... realistic, I guess you would say? I tried to read it, but I didn't get far before I got too uncomfortable and just stepped away from it. I ended up removing those pages altogether because it bothered me too much to even catch a glimpse of them.

I know I'm not the only one who felt that way about it. I waited to get it here from /share/ because I wasn't going to pay for something that MIGHT have had a submission from him in it. I'm relieved that it doesn't and, as far as I can tell, I'm not alone in thinking/feeling that way.

384 Name: Beatrice Harringpuck : Sun Jan 4 22:51:56 2009 ID:VYDfVmFE [Del]

>>382

How about you go ahead an explain why he's the best artist. Because I'll be waiting for that.

385 Name: keo : Mon Jan 5 06:41:22 2009 ID:EtJiE4HK [Del]

I really didn’t like his comic in sp3, I haven’t read it in a while so I’m not sure if any of the other ones had semi nc/rape so not only what seemed to me as semi nc/rape was if I remember correctly the guy drove her to the middle of no ware with what seemed to be the pure intention of getting sex, so that just seemed to me a little too pedophile rapist for me, but again I’m just typing from memory so I may be remembering things in the comic that didn’t happen, ps I do prefer the more cartoony style for sp but I don’t think that was part of my reason for not likening it.

386 Name: System of a fox : Mon Jan 5 07:54:09 2009 ID:pZwlGpiF [Del]

>>384
Are you blind? Didn't I explain it already? Or are you using some sort of childish "NO U 1ST" behaviour because you don't want to answer my question?
As I said before in >>382 I consider ZorroRe probably the best artist in Softpaw magazine because he's TECHNICALLY more skilled and TAKE CARE TO DETAILS, for example: I see very few artists respect proportion/perspective rules to BOTH characters and background, many simply put a background just for decorative purposes, without even worrying if proportions/perspective were correct, amirite?
Detailed colouring is more challenging than simple cell shaded colouring, amirite?
Using transparency/reflections is more challenging than not using them at all, amirite?
Depth of view/Camera view is more challenging than using a "flatty" view, amirite?
Detailed background is more challenging than using flat colours, amirite?
Those are the reasons I appreciate him, ok? Even if you don't like his style/contents, do you agree his art is more challenging and difficult to master than many other artists? If no, explain why.

387 Name: Bob : Mon Jan 5 12:44:20 2009 ID:ElQjiGLG [Del]

In all actuality Artistic talent or skill isn't defined by detail, perspective, or form. But a combination of many different things. Now when you have a pile of detail on something like a comic, it tends to be more annoying because it resembles something more like a painting. Detail in a picture, or painting is one thing. But when it's in a comic, the image can easily become too busy just by having too much detail.

Now as for perspective in the sense of background and foreground making the most sense. In and of itself. Some artists will draw the background as blurry so as to not subtract from what's actually going on, while others will just have a simple, or soft background to do the same thing. But, like I said, when you have alot of detail in the background, it subtracts from what's going on in the comic.

As for form. The ability to form a hand, draw a face, and to do hair is somewhat needed. When something looks odd, or lumpy when it shouldn't be. Makes the comic less good simply because most people prefer to see something that they view as realistic. Would you read a comic when the head is overly lumpy, or the hands look like deformed flippers when the person that is draw isn't supposed to be deformed?

Now you ignored something important in art. Shadows, and shading. The things that actually add depth into an image, to make something flat look like it isn't. In a comic, it isn't really needed, but in a picture, or painting of say... A tree. It is needed just to give it depth.

Post too long. Click to view the whole post or the thread page.

390 Name: Hamilton Shakefield : Mon Jan 5 15:35:16 2009 ID:YEM6M7dR [Del]

I looked through the pedorape comic again just to notice those details, and noticed none. I just noticed that the girl is extremely disproportionate to the male(she's not supposed to be a toddler, yet is as small as the guys knees). The eyes are gigantic, even for weeaboo furry standards, and the only details he puts in are the camel toe, other than that the backgrounds consist of varying colors intended to represent...something, I guess.

Considering BBMBBF has a comic in SPM, ZorroRe isn't the worst artist in it, but he's 2nd.
