The trouble with it is assuming that it manifests the same way.

It's scientific fact that democrats rate higher on neurotic behavior AND value group unity less. Neurotic behavior manifests itself in self-destructive acts, including revenge even if the act harms yourself. ((See Bernie voters staying home to snub Hillary Clinton, or even flipping entirely to Trump voters, rather than put the ticket first.))

You even see that disloyalty to the health of the brand with how Chuck Schumer is now shaming Maxine Waters for her comments about harassing public officials with mob justice.

Republicans know how to close ranks, sans exceptions like John McCain. Even Ted Cruz crawled his way back in after bowing to the Trump presidency.

The United Kingdom is a 3 (sometimes 4) party system of various degrees of lefty politics. Their "conservatives" would be American centrists at best.

You can't be this back biting and self destructive, and disregard entire age or lifestyle segments as the American left has been lately. This is why Trump will win 2020. This is why the blue wave is dying. This is why Republicans are somehow looking optimistic about the mid-terms that used to always suck for them.

>You don't even realize how this is going to backfire ... She's been elected in the heart of the reactor.
>You might as well cut the democratic party in half.

Now you're getting it! That's the plan! We're taking the party over which means driving out the people who work for the corporations. The corporate shills can go be Republicans. This is how politics works. Every few decades a generation will rise that causes a huge political switch. Republicans become democrats, Democrats become Republicans.

You might not remember your history books but the Republicans started out as a regional party that makes the Green Party look like a juggernaut. They rose to power on leftist ideas like ending slavery and more representative governance instead of landowners being the only ones who got a voice.

It wouldn't be till decades later that the Democrats caught on to the fact Left Wins and swung hard to the left beyond the republicans. This caused a huge split in the party and most of the hard core racists/plutocrats went Republican.

That's why we have the term, "Blue Dog Democrat" or "Dixiecrat" it's racists who stayed in the party when the exodus happened. They were pro-slavery, pro-segregation democrats who lingered like cancer until the younger generations forced them out.

Now Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Tom Perez, The Clintons and the Obamas are the same way. They refuse to change with the times so we are kicking them out. We excise the gross, hateful parts of the party and welcome in new people. It's the way history cycles.

Source?

And no, we don't value unity less. We value blind obedience less. The left is very unified. We agree with what we want and we mobilize to get it but we don't swear loyalty to anyone.

Democrats value obedience. That is why Schumer is attacking Maxine. She dared have an opinion not given to her by the owners.

To use a racist, historical reference: Democrats are basically house niggers. They are there to keep the rest of the plantation from revolting. Owners don't like it when a house nigger speaks her own mind. They don't like that one bit.

Bernie Sanders is in hot water right now because he won't stand up and demand the end of ICE.
Locking fucking children in cages and he won't condemn them because the DNC made a new rule where if you aren't "loyal" enough Tom Perez can veto you running as a Democrat.

Bernie being a fucking coward. If the DNC thinks you are being disloyal by standing up against people who lock children in dog kennels and make them live in tent cities in the middle of the desert, then they don't deserve your loyalty. As long as he doesn't stand up against ICE he is not part of the left.

That is the difference between the left and the Democrats. Dems obey a party. The left fight for what's moral and just. Very, very unified in making sure Bernie Sanders remembers this fact.

His spot under the bus is prepared and there is a long line of people to replace him if he doesn't fall in line.

TL:DR = Income inequality is most staggering in blue states. Democratic policies benefit the top 1% elite more than Republican policies. Or really, lower taxes raise all ships. Maybe you socialists have been misdirected to hate and vilify right winters the most, when it is your corporate hookers like Hillary Clinton and her ilk that fuck you the most? Then again, I've heard a few socialists actually make this point... Before they're shouted down and forced to apologize.

-------------------------

It's funny you mention unfair. I just googled income disparity by state, and 2016 presidential election by state.

Lets see here... Comparing like with like in terms of population, size and economy... The liberal state of California is 29 times more money for their 1% then the remaining 99%. Same framework for Texas? 27 times.

Nevada? Blue. 38 times more for their top 1% than their bottom 99%

Colorado? Blue, 20 times, nearest neighbor, similar populations and economy... Utah, Red, 19 times.

New York, blue, 45 times. Pennsylvanian? Red, 20 times. Well, New York is super dense... but looking at almost every single state, nothing really compares that is a red state. Nearest example with the same high ballpark is Wyoming, which is Red and 40. The thing is, much of that state is federal parkland, it's hardly populated, and it's where a lot of billionaires retire to when they want to pretend to be rough necks.

No one can avoid death. Maybe that's why it is different?

You're also throwing a lot of shit into the "Tax" bucket that isn't a tax. Postal tax? I'm sorry, they're providing you with a non-standard service. You can always go private sector. No need to pay the government. Tariff? A tax on the business that they pass down to the consumer. Don't like it? Don't be a consumer for that product.

(Goes without saying, sometimes you can't avoid it, but hey, start a business. Make yourself the market exception.)

What's your problem with inherited wealth anyway? Grand kids are gonna blow it on apple products, cars, expensive lunch meat and fermented bullshit. They're putting brewers, car makers, apple support / apple manufacturing employees into work, and they'll spend themselves dry doing it. Is it just jealousy? Because every study I've seen shows that the wealth hoarders are not the people who got inheritance.

No.3512469

You avoid inheritance tax by (a) not having enough assets to meet the minimum required to be taxed, or (b) not passing on your assets after death, so this argument doesn't really hold.

why do you presume I'm in favour of inheritance tax just because I've pointed out the stupidity of American political discourse.

forget a death tax, i want the government to issue death credits, i want a universal basic death rate to top up the frankly derisory rate at which nature is currently killing people. the last thing we need to do is tax death, that'll just discourage people. forget universal healthcare, give me universal dignitas.

No.3512497

>>3512496

It's not an inheritance if you're not giving it to someone else upon death. I don't think that really applies. When I avoid the postal service, my money is still spent on shipping a package, and the recipient still receives it. The category A solution falls under this same failure in logic. That's not avoiding the tax and still getting the same function.

Now you do introduce an interesting idea. It sounds like something of a reverse tax that stands to benefit poverty stricken families. Would it simply be to cover funeral arrangements and community property issues? Or to help grandma pay off the last of the mortgage?

Given that 100% of people die, and a TON of people would qualify for the benefit... How would we pay for that benefit?

Don't take it as opposition. I'd love to see grandma and grandpa keep their homes instead of selling the home to afford burying one another, but benefits don't just appear without a greater deficit. With America making an enemy of china over tariffs, I'm not exactly sure who would buy our debt to make it happen.

No.3512501

Yes, I imagine if firing people was easy and wages were even shittier, anyone could get a job. Therefore, not wanting wages and benefits to become shittier is mean to all the young people. No.3512507

>>3512501

I don't think CEOs are the problem, they're rarely even in the 1%

I DO however, think that shareholders, investing, the whole living off of dividends thing... That's getting scummy and unmanageable.

We have stockholders who will collude to remove and replace a CEO if said CEO simply maintains their market instead of growing profits somehow. Even with every shareholder involved getting money in the thousands, they'll axe the guy who's trying to balance business and being good to your customers.

I always played with the idea that investor payouts and CEO pay should be tied to a multiple of the salary of the lowest salary or hourly wage in the company. If they want more money, they have to furnish their workers with more money too, and leave crumbs for the investors.

Instead everyone is trying to please the almighty investors... long after the business is market stable, and long after the business is ready to buy back it's shares.

No.3512508

Heck. I'll go a step further. I might be on the right, but I can definitely see civilization heading for UBI. I'd prefer we intercept it to having a market crash forcing it.

The trouble I see is automation. Automation will eventually eliminate most paid labor. Worse, it also eliminates all the taxes that worker would be paying, and all the retirement and social safety nets that person would also be forced to pay into. Suddenly there isn't anyone to pay for welfare, nanna and papa, or EBT.

As such, I think business owners and franchise license holders would be getting a steal of a deal if they were expected to pay taxes equivalent to the man-hours saved by automation. (with some mitigating controls, for non-physical data driven tasks, of course.)

They would still be saving tons of money by not having to pay workers a wage, but the government would not completely collapse from lack of funding. Nor would all the safety net programs it keeps running.

There's no way in hell that going from industrialized to nearly pure automation wont be a bumpy road, but we need to start thinking about the bridge to get us from A to B.

And that's coming from a righty-fag.

Cities and states are telling federal immigration policy to fuck off. They do not have the authority, as members of this union, to tell the federal government to fuck off regarding immigration. This defiant attitude necessitates the need for a federal level "Border patrol" which is what ICE is.

If cities/states followed federal immigration law, and we didn't have cartels to bust, we would not need ICE.

The fact that it was founded recently, therefor, it isn't needed, isn't an argument. Or are you for dissolving the department of education since it was only founded in 1979?

To get rid of ICE, we would have to authorize border patrols to go across state lines to chase after illegal entrants. To get rid of ICE, they'd have to become unaccountable to local officials.

They let complete kooks to run the show, like Lysenko who theorized you could sow the seeds on top of snow in the spring to "climatize" the plants for the local environment (Lysenko rejected Darwinian evolution/genetics), which resulted in most of the crops just failing to grow despite glowing reports of success; the results were suppressed out of embarrasment. What Stalin did, Mao copied with similiar results - the losses were blamed on the birds.

>From what I read, a lot of the starving in China was an accident.

No, that's a direct consequence of putting communists and socialists in charge of your society. They rely on the crutch of reductionism, oversimplifying multifaceted and complex issues like maximizing crop yields to the point that any solutions they develop are completely useless.

So no, it's not an "accident" that people become impoverished and hungry with communists and socialists in control. It's no more an accident that Venezuela is starving to death while here in America I threw away the rest of my 1/2 lbs burger in the trash because I was too full. It's because I live in a capitalist society while Venezuela chose socialism. Nothing "accidental" about it at all.

That's not correct. Anti-smoking was a part of the Progressive movement of the 1890's to the 1920's, with people wanting to ban tobacco along with alcohol, with some states banning cigarettes. But we got rid of those laws like we ended Prohibition because we realized we weren't Nazis and instead freedom-loving Americans.

>We know better now. That doesn't mean we're smarter, it simply means we got to observe someone else's failure.

I'm sorry, but how years of study in biology do you really need to understand that birds eat bugs and that bugs eat plants? My family had a garden and that's all I needed to come to understand that birds will eat bugs that eat my plants. Also, this was the fucking 1960's, not the 1760's. The world had already discovered the concept of ecosystems and the fact that we needed certain animals that could control pests.

170,000 officers were draw from 22 separate agencies to found ICE. Those agencies still exist.

To quote: https://splinternews.com/a-short-brutal-history-of-ice-1822641556
=-=-=-=
"What before had been Immigration and Naturalization Services, under the Justice Department, and the United States Customs Service, part of the Treasury Department, were folded into this new, national security-focused agency and divided into three components: Immigration and Customs Enforcement, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and United States Custom and Border Protection.

“At the time, those of us who study immigration pointed out how dramatic a change this was, to place immigration, which had been under the Department of Justice, into this new agency called Homeland Security,” says Erika Lee, a history professor at the University of Minnesota and director of the school’s Immigration History Research Centers. “It sends the message that immigration was a threat—that all immigration was a threat.”

By 2003, as noted by Marisa Franco and Carlos Garcia in a 2016 piece for The Nation on the machinery of deportation built out over the last decade, Tom Ridge, the first director of DHS, had overseen the rollout of a strategic plan for these newly established enforcement agencies. One goal among others? A 100 percent removal rate of “removable aliens” and the infrastructure to make it happen.

“Moving toward a 100 [percent] rate of removal for all removable aliens is critical to allow the ICE to provide the level of immigration enforcement necessary to keep America secure,” according to that document. “Without this final step in the process, apprehensions made by other DHS programs cannot truly contribute to national security.”

It isn't, but it does have a strong tendency to make a bad situation much worse. A drought initiated the famine in China, and their brilliant idea to try to eradicate an entire species that also helps control pests made that famine much worse. The collapse in oil prices is what tanked the Venezuelan economy, but almost 2 decades of socialism is why they didn't have any money saved up to weather the storm like the theocratic monarchy of Saudi Arabia did.

Like I stated some posts ago: if you put your faith and trust in socialist bureaucrats and their simplistic reductionist thinking, then you have nobody to blame but yourself when you find yourself going to bed hungry again for yet another night.

This is the federal version of border patrol, and without ICE, you don't have that. Without ICE, all the fed can do is sue states to comply. Even then, states can ignore the fed further. Then all the fed does is refuse to send money for certain programs, and the fed comes out looking like the bad guy. I prefer having ICE.

I'm not saying there isn't a shortage. I'm saying it has nothing to do with socialism. It has everything to do with the wealthy trying to crush the goverment and replace it. They want the oil. It's just that simple. The companies that produce basic staple foods like milk, cheese, and items like paper towels and toilet paper literally have perfectly normal, active running factories and the products they produce get shipped out of the nation where they can sell it for higher prices because the U.S. has devalued Venuzela's currency.

The problems exist only because of outside forces trying to uproot a goverment that works for the people and replace it with a goverment that works for the oil companies. It's regime change 101.

The people keep not voting for the corporate puppet the U.S. wants so we keep choking the life out of them.

> If the never-trumpers and democrat scum would work with him, SO MANY problems in this country could be alleviated.

Your argument is flawed because the only problems he wants to solve are problems like fixing non-existent voter fraud, locking up everyone not white enough to his liking, going to war with our allies and building a wall that would be the most expensive infrastructure project in the history of America just so he'll have a monument to his ego.

No one "works with him" because the only things he wants to work on are bat-shit insane. If you had a SANE president who would work on sane issues then I would agree with you. Party shouldn't matter. It should be about policy. But he's a fucking lunatic.

Can conservatives get people fired using twitter and facebook mobs? No.

Can conservatives get away with threats of violence and bullying on social media? No. Can liberals? Certainly, call people cunts. Say they should get cancer again. Request firebombing. All of that's okay if your politics are right.

Does almost all of the media you consume agree with your point of view if you're conservative? Fuck no. The movies, television and radio will all call you fucking evil. (even doing it with your tax dollars, ala NPR. )

>Can conservatives get people fired using twitter and facebook mobs?

Generally speaking no, but that's because you're a minority of angry, petty people who try to get people fired for nonsense.

In this one specific case you did, just two days ago, use death threats and threats of terrorism against a city to force the owner of Red Hen to quit her job and go into hiding.
You can't win an argument but you can terrorize women quite effectively on social media.

>Can conservatives get away with threats of violence and bullying on social media?

You mean like Milo saying people should gun down the media the day before someone shot up a news organization?

How about Trump saying to punch protesters in the face and he would cover your lawyer fees?
How about alex Jones telling his cult of wackos that liberals are secretly lizard people but the only way to prove it is to peel their face off?

>Does almost all of the media you consume agree with your point of view if you're conservative?

People thinking you are wrong, because you're wrong, isn't them attacking you.

>How about the public sector? Oh look. Nearly all of academia is on board with the progressive stack and policies.

Yes, because the progressive (Left) agenda is based on science, reason, and facts while the right is based on opinions, emotion, and religion. Again, this is your problem, not ours. You choose to ignore reality and then claim oppression when we don't play along.

The right wing is no different in this way than someone who "Is in a relationship" with their "Tulpa" and expects everyone else to pretend it's real or someone who makes up pronouns for themselves like shir and hir then gets upset if we don't use them. You are the biggest snowflakes ever, 24/7. That is why we mock you. You are worse than emo teenagers in goth makeup who want to pretend to be vampires. You take your bullshit so seriously you think you're being oppressed.

>You backed conservatives and libertarians into a corner... you started threatening free speech.

How, exactly, did we do that? The media has crazy ass right wing people on TV every day. For every one Bernie Sanders interview there are hundreds of right wing interviews. Literally, the entire "Liberal media" is built on the idea that your science denying, religious hysteria is just as valid a viewpoint as rational, verifiable facts because they don't want to hurt your wittle feewings.

>And now. Now because we dare raise up our might, we dare take back one single office in the government, and you're wailing as if it's the holocaust.

Again, this is you showing how emotionally fragile you are. A poor little man-baby who can't accept even for a single fucking moment that other people might have opinions that have nothing, at all, to do with you.

Have you considered that maybe people that aren't giant fucking cowards who are afraid of everyone who crosses the border just don't want people put into inhumane prison camps?

We can hold the the opinion that prison camps are bad without it being about you. The only reason you think it's about you is Trump drew attention to it and like you, he thinks any resistance to the idea of treating people like animals is an insult to him personally.

Here's a fun thought experiment for you: From now on, when you see a news story try taking your head out of your ass and ask yourself, "What if these people are protesting something they think is wrong, just because it's wrong, not because my cult likes it?"

>3B, "Liberals lie" might not be a cliche after all if they keep spinning it like you do.

2) Shit jobs that pay shit money, offer only part time, no benefit work no one is willing to do.

You're actually pretty close. Since my promotion to a senior level engineer last year, my salary is just shy of $13,000 per month or roughly $6k every two weeks. But that doesn't include my bonuses which encompasses my standard yearly bonus (that can be up to 50% of my yearly salary) as well as day rates, which are premiums that I get paid for each day I have to travel to one of our manufacturing plants or out to the rig itself.

>>In this one specific case you did, just two days ago, use death threats and threats of terrorism against a city to force the owner of Red Hen to quit her job and go into hiding.

No I didn't. Also, notice how she chose to quit? Typically speaking, most of the people who get fired thanks to online hate mobs are not business owners. They're employees at starbucks who simply asked some guys not to loiter. Which is, you know, part of the law as previously mentioned? Shame that star-cucks decided to throw her under the bus because of you whiny shitstains.

You literally have self-diagnosed people running around with comfort animals and demanding that they be treated the same as seeing eye dogs. You literally have safe space rooms with children's playthings and entertainment.

Again, you are confusing Gender, the idea, with Sex, the physical condition. You can be a person who has a penis but identifies as the gender of a female.

I can see why it makes conservatives uncomfortable. You've spent generations trying to clearly define the roles of women as lesser to men so you can subjugate them. Now these asshole kids come along and pull the rug out from under you by making the one biological trait that let you most clearly define yourselves as superior totally meaningless.

I'm sure it feels like an attack. You can see it in the way conservatives talk about gays and trans like they are taking something away from conservatives just by existing. That something was the cornerstone of much of your identity. Men were men and women were for fucking and making babies. Now it's all over the place.

Your world is topsy-turvy and I get that, but it's just a symptom of progress. As technology and society advance the focus on individualism is always going to decrease. We are all more homogenized than ever.

We matter less as individuals every day and that is explicitly a function of capitalism. You are worker. That is your only identity. Nothing else matters to the capitalist machine. The stripping away of identity by capitalism has caused this "Gender politics" backlash.

It's a symptom of a bigger problem where people are trying desperately to make themselves more than just a cog in the machine.

I could even make the (correct) argument, that dealing with climate change later is easier, and will cost less money, and less economic productivity, than later. This is based upon the fact that countries who finish basic automation suddenly pollute a lot less and it is in global best interest to let China and India keep polluting and move past bare-bones industrialization up to automation. It'll also be easier to clean up ocean pollution using A.I.s and automation. I believe the founder of greenpeace did a collaboration with several climate science / economists to prove this point and to date, no one has said the conclusions were wrong.

As for all your gender crap, that's like playing semantics games such as those who cite the definition of feminism. There's what you claim to do, and what you really do.

You want to abolish biological as an identifier at the end of the day. Your people want it to be treated as disgusting bigotry for a man to prefer a woman that he has a baseline expectation of being capable of having a family with. Your people want to vilify much of masculinity as toxic, and call a man's natural urge to look at a pretty woman some kind of social construct. Your people claim that women are only weaker than men because they're conditioned to be and not because of things like muscle mass, anabolic hormones and planes of leverage.

But please, hide behind the gender unicorn.

Mods are making a lot of common words into banned strings. It's more fun for them to make us play guessing games compared to something like banning because people will just try to slide around bans with VPNs and stuff.

I think regarding GMOs that's an oversimplification. There is still meant to be civil consequences like lawsuits for damages and restitution. We don't just pull a shruggie emoji about the impact GMOs have. I think we can both agree stuff like rice that grows in sea water is pretty awesome. I think we can also both agree that it is better to lab produce stuff like vanilla rather than waste tons and tons of energy on milking beaver anal glands and growing tons of flowers just to pluck off the bean pods. But that's just it. We both have science deniers who get smoke screens to hide behind because party politics come first.

----

Not talking about "She who must not be named", No. The U.N., U.K. and Canada actually have government officials talking about sex robots. Preliminary legislation to ban A.I. empowered sex robots is in the works.

----

No, not at all. Unions could force your membership to work in a given field. Force you to pay dues. Then said union can endorse a political candidate. How would you feel if you were forced to be a member of a Union who was endorsing Donald Trump?

That whole court case went to the SC based upon a teacher who did not like what the union was endorsing and the bad teachers it was protecting. It had nothing to do with wanting benefits without paying for them.

----

Yes. I'm sure it's real. Someone whipped out their phone to videotape it. Are you surprised people throwing a tantrum was not main stream news worthy? The news isn't cringe compilations after all.

----

Oversimplification again. No, they don't want to be the next journalist to get shot. Or they want to be able to stop a school shooting. Carrying a gun is a burden, man. If you're open carrying and someone's casing the joint for armed robbery, or to go on a shooting spree, the armed people are going to be shot at first. Typically, carrying a gun concealed is less impactful given that people can be allergic to helper animals.

----

Progressive stack essentially puts every identity you have as a point system. Who gets the job, the right to speak, or basically wins the argument by default is based upon how high or low you are on the stack. https://youtu.be/W81A1kTXPa4

I'm kind of Ok with that. Not because of the sex thing but because it's probably a bad idea to treat the A.I. network that will one day run our world like shit and you know as soon as A.I. get emotion simulation people will abuse them. See: WestWorld

Unless you are one of the people they shoot by accident. But I also agree helper animals are bullshit. We should have helper humans. People need jobs. If a dog can do it a human can do it.

See, that's where we differ. If we are willing to force A.I. to maintain sewage lines, wipe the asses of the elderly, so on, so forth, why would we exclude sex except outside some kind of silly sacred concept of sex?

It's not even scientific to do so. Access to porn has a correlation with less rape. Extreme access to porn even has a correlation with population drops. Access to sex robots would probably eliminate most of the rape.

----

You'd still be upset is the correct answer, which is exactly what the union member was, and his motivation. Motivations like that disprove your notion that it is only about trying to get a free ride.

Even if you're dead center, 100% of people are going to piss you off with their views. If you're half way in the left, 75% of people are going to piss you off, so on, so forth. This is why compulsory unions should be barred from political speech. You're arresting the majority of members to a position in a way that please a minority of members.

Citizens united was a mistake, and we need additional laws to prevent using involuntary money to make endorsements.

Sorry, I was unclear. No, I'm not objecting to sex robots. I'm objecting to putting A.I. in sex robots. Just like a sewer cleaner or ass wiper robot doesn't need to be self-aware neither does your robot girlfriend.

Self-aware sex robots is how you get terminators.

Under the laws being proposed CURRENT A.I. sex robots powered by smart phones are considered on the banned side of that line.

It's a fear reaction. They know if they don't establish a law now, when the robots become viable they'll never get it to pass.

It's the same thing with healthcare in America. The rich people know they'll be paying taxes forever if single payer passes because once people have it there will be no going back so they are trying to block it even at the state level.

That is the only tool the right wing has.
Their ideas are shit. Their policies are shit. Their results when elected always turn out to be shit. They can't defend anything they stand for because they stand for pillaging America for the benefit of globalist 1%ers.

The only thing they can do is try to rip down everyone else's ideas and make them look like shit too. That's why they keep demanding "Fair and Balanced" new media because if it was honest instead of trying to make both sides look the same, no conservative would ever win an election again.
