Next time get a degree that's worth more than shit-stained toilet paper? Either that or be the one with top grades in your major so you don't get passed over by more qualified peers with the same degree as you.

blah blah woulda coulda, doesn't matter now WHAT DO

Well, what is your degree in?

No touche.

If you really can't get a job other than flipping burgers, then shut up and flip the fucking burgers. What good does it do to bitch and moan about it?

Because of a few factors.

1) The catch-22 of "I can't get hired without experience, but I can't get experience without being hired" cliche. And during the recession, you had employed workers getting fucked over by their companies because they knew they could get away with it.

2) The biggy - debt. Getting that job flipping burgers wouldn't cost you a thing straight out of high-school, but when you're doing that while managing 5-figure debt as a young adult? That's a hurdle most people in the generation before X (Generation W?) didn't have to contend with, since the jobs they got degrees for generally had openings. Hell, teaching isn't the guarantee it used to be, what with the bullshit that went down in Wisconsin a few years back.

Yet here you are, and what are you gonna do about it?

Not flip the burgers?

I'm out of debt - have been since 2008. But the point remains that it's a hell of a boulder for young adults to be carrying.

Then don't go to college if you can't afford it and are simultaneously too stupid and/or lazy to earn scholarships. How is that too hard to understand?

Hello darkness my old friend...

How strange to be out of a yob since the economy is doing so great after Obongchrist's glorious reign.

What are some jobs I can apply for that let me sit on my ass my entire shift? I'm too lazy for retail or burgers. Gimme ideas I want to apply soon

This is ironic; Crack just released "If Student Loans Were Honest - Honest Ads (College Debt)"

This is why antifa is rioting in the streets... well, that and riots are fun when you got nothing else to loose.

>you can't get jobs to pay back the student loans we forced you to take

Nobody forced you to take out student loans. Caveat emptor

>Are there loan companies that are better that I can choose from?
>No, the government decides what companies you borrow from

That sounds like an argument against increasing government oversight over colleges and deregulating the student loan industry so that companies can compete and offer better rates and loan terms to students on the free market. Remember, a monopoly is always bad for the consumer, especially if it's one controlled by the government.

Most of those jobs were all low-paying positions, though -

Just do what I did and hand out resumes EVERYWHERE. Canvas the neighbourhood with that shit. I had gone for way too long without a decent job, I went berserk with the resumes and now I've been happily working at a decent job for a little over three years.
Also MOAR Katia tits.

Or you could just make the government the only source of payment the schools can take then let the government tell them to stop charging people ridiculous amounts of money. I worked for a college for a while and let me tell you, every year we got a budget to spend on new equipment for the computer lab. If we didn't spend it, the money just went into the coffers of the state so the school spent it.

We had last minute meetings to work inter-departmentally pooling our resources to justify buying shit we would probably never need and probably throw away at the end of the year and replace because if we didn't spend every dime, admin would camp on our taints all year about why we didn't buy extra of whatever happened to randomly break.

I remember one year I got yelled at because we had a few dollars left over and then some kid in an English class broke a chair like the chair we used. The H Building's chairs had all been passed out and they had to take one of ours. We had 4 spares in storage so it didn't seem like a big deal.

The Dean crawled up my ass for not pooling our resources and buying an extra chair on top of the four extra chairs I had in case another building suddenly needed more chairs. As it it's my job to know how many chairs other departments have?

One of the problems with the college system is if they don't spend the money, the next year they get less money. They have to spend, spend, spend to keep the grants coming. It's a economic ouroboros.

>Or you could just make the government the only source of payment the schools can take then let the government tell them to stop charging people ridiculous amounts of money.

The military has the exact same problem you experienced but with more money. The government is their only source of payment and the government has the power to tell the military to stop charging people ridiculous amounts of money. But they don't. The problem is political: if you push to cut military spending (especially if you're republican) your opponents will attack you for it and you may lose your election. Same applies to democrats and education. Politicians know when they're voting for pork bills but they do it anyway. It's good you identified the problem but your solution doesn't work and military spending demonstrates why.

Any job similar to Office Space.

Depending on your degree you could always work for my company doing draft work like 3d modeling of parts and assemblies. It pays like $25/hr starting out and all you do is sit at the computer. You don't need a STEM degree but it has to be more than gender studies or anything equally worthless.

How does one find these type of job openings? "friend of a friend" won't work here, I have to do it the old fashioned way. I know of like no companies that do that here

All this talk of jobs and the place I work at is in desperate need of maintenance personnel. We're ten short. You don't have to have a degree, but you do have to be drug free, have half a fucking brain, and know how to turn a wrench.

Maintenance will never be automated. Especially where I work. At least not until you can get a full-on android. Same goes for machine installation.

File: Initech-Company-miniature.jpg - (13.04 KB, 241x183) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.

That depends on where you live. Drive around any major city and simple google any companies you see that look like tech or engineering firms. Then either walk in or see if you can send your resume online.

OP specifically said they didn't want to do any actual work, just sit on their ass all day.

Yeah, in my experience, companies can be really shitty about making sure their engineers and maintenance workers have all the equipment they need. There was almost a full month where a bunch of product was getting spilled all over the floor due to a critical part having broken with no on-hand replacement. The entire line was running at half-speed with the part jury-rigged to compensate, and one of the engineers wound up driving nearly out-of-State to just buy the part out of pocket, since the one they'd ordered was taking weeks to arrive.

Me 2
Please post more big fat cat tats

>OP specifically said they didn't want to do any actual work, just sit on their ass all day.

I mean basically anything that involves sitting the majority of the time. I've had retail in the past for years and years and honestly I can deal with it and the shit pay (I usually just pick up shifts and nearly double my time anyway) but all the standing around and walking for 8+ hours daily has bored me to death. I just want to sit on ass and do whatever on a screen

Unfortunately the bean counters count maintenance as an avoidable expense, so the uneducated guy with a wrench is the first to go.

And then hired back when the machines break.

And then let go again.

>>3472496 because they are spics.
anyone who continues driving past maintenance shops in order to save money while driving on a cracked axle and faulty mechanisms is obviously mexican cause the spics can't even see that a broken gear will fuck with the entire assebly.

this is how i can tell that whole dialogue is witty "im so smart xDD" bullshit that never happened and was written on the spot by a dumbshit liberal.

thats not how the expression works.

He's talking about in privately-held companies, you dingbat, not car mechanics.
