I'm still thinking about what to do with the share board. The current software we're using for it IS NOT ABLE TO HANDLE WHAT WE WANT TO USE IT FOR. It overloads the entire server and breaks all the other boards.

It didn't even seem like there was that much traffic on the share board. Was it really a 'good' place for file sharing?

Most of the time /share/ was /u_giev_nao/, somefag posted a request that eventually was fulfilled or bumped for months without any respond.
Create similar thing to the /rs/ board, except it will originate around furry content and will be also compatible with ShareBee, EasyShare, SpeedyShare, Ziddu, MediaFire etc.

create? i think that's a bit outside of my abilities. lulz really doesn't even have a coding team these days. if anyone knows of some software like what they use on 4chan /rs/ then i'll be willing to check it out.

OK, OK! Perhaps that was a bit over the top. Since m00t is a king and queen of 4chan town, it's unlikely that there will be any information leaks anytime soon.
From what I can tell about /rs/ board it is like a bot, searches thru the posted content for specific phases, visits a filehosting website for additional information about the file and continues to "look" into the thread for any password that some idiot might put to outsmart teh DMCA hurr.

Honestly, I can live without /share/ since all of things you need can be found by JUST GOOGLE MOTHERFUCKER or eMule.

Also, is it just me or the top menu with "Home" "Discussion" "Imageboards" etc. doesn't work on Opera?

To my experience stuff posted on "share" board was quite well associated with furry, at least a lot more than stuff on fury/imageboards which seems stuff there can go to a very random and stuff with bad taste.

If i understand correct ch0b' s 5th post problem is patch'ed a bit but still thinking how to improove board.

I dont "Catch" the idea of "to make compatible with ShareBee, EasyShare, SpeedyShare, Ziddu, MediaFire etc". Uploading to one of them and posting a link on the board is what a lot of people do on most boards.

Also "things you need can be found by JUST GOOGLE MOTHERFUCKER or eMule". Well on emule most of the stuff is "not new" If you can live without a board without "a lot of stuff" then you must be interested in a small or a particular artist/s work. Whatever

Have you thought about making a forum? Would that improve speed? Basics of posting on forum's is not difrent there than posting here.

Also i dont get "why" some stuff just disapears. Like before leeching problems there was a 300+ post thread with Pleasure Bon Bon, disapeard. I understand deleting duplicate threads or on the end, but in top 10 at that time? Or Palcomix. Have someone payed to delete it? Someone deleted few my post with "missing list" BUT it was correct with toppic :/ Or Palcomix thread on imageboars that was there 5 days ago, for a really short time. Really, HAVE someone PAY'ed a mod here to keep delete'ing it?

We don't get paid to remove content. We usually just respect the wish of artists when they contact us about something. So, if something is removed.. it's because an artist came to us and (nicely) requested that we remove the material.

Search option, users, pm's, of course it is possible to post as a guest like now here. The only minus would be that current share backup would be a bit troublesome to add to forum propobly so it would be a start from scrach

Well the main reason i was visiting lulz "DAILY" was the share section i mean in bad days there was about 0-2 new downloads and in good days even 10+ what can compare to this? when i saw the problem i was like oh ok tomorrow will be fine but its already weeks, i dont have clearly understand whats the problem but if its cause of the size of the board put an admin there that is going to delete/merge double threads posts spams inactive or whatsoever, anyway WE WANT SHARE BACK ( I WANT SHARE BACK) :P

/share/ was the essence of lulz.net, when I came here for the first time I stayed here because the place had a lot of content to share than any other site (It still has at times, but nothing like before) and it wasn't another fchan with that DNP bullshit (Jeremy Bernal doesn't count, he will always be a bitch when It comes to posting a single image from the content of his site), I still feel that this site is somewhat discret.

There was a DC++ hub called luna.net (or something like that) when /share/ was still up but not anymore, which is a shame because it could have been a great replacement of /share/.
Now, a forum can be another solution for /share/ like >>10 said, but it will be only to share content; the forum will be linked to lulz.net and the site will still have all it's boards like /furi/, /oekaki/ and all that shit.

I'm still hoping for a solution for this problem so we can go back when the site was actually good. /furi/? Fuck it, the board was good for entertainment while /share/ was the main shit.

I don't understand what is the exact reason of shutting down the share board, if it would actually be leaching all the memory than i would notice at least a lag or two, but no matter when i visited this site or the share section it flied all the time. The best idea would be to bring the old share section back and end this drama.
